After a few hours of work (around 9...), I finally reached ‹âÀˆê’š–Ú for the annual party of the AJJ rugby club. Mika and I arrived a bit late (as expected) but the welcome was warmful and everybody ready to have good times. We had an excellent dinner (at Tofuro) with plenty of beers. And that only for 3,000 yens per person. Very cheap. This party was also the day they chose to gave award to their players: the one who scored the most, the newbies (like me), the youngest and so on... There were plenty of presents for almost everybody. For example, I have receveived a pair of socks for being a newbie, a Singapore TShirt (really!) for being a gaijin and a set of Christmas cakes because I won at a lottery... Meanwhile, Mika received plenty of small gifts as she was a supporter or a girl within the club. In a word, very nice. However, everything was in “ú–{Œê (normal actually) and that was a bit difficult to understand everything. Anyway, the few things I caught were nice and I laughed a lot! Anyway, I will have to improve my Japanese soon because the season will start soon and it will be quite useful to understand each other on the pitch!
After the dinner (ending around 10pm), some of us headed to a bar not so far from the restaurant for a couple of drinks and few French fries (a tribute to me? I wonder...). Very nice! I laughed a lot again and talked about ƒ‰ƒOƒr[. Ahh, it is good to spend some time talking about rugby on a good beer. And quite interesting as my experience of rugby is very different from the locals. In a word, really enriching for everybody. Now, I am looking forward to play rugby again...
