• Paris by night

As we enjoyed the night before, Ayako, Naoko and I decided to meet again in order to go somewhere in Paris and make them discover Paris from inside with a local (or at least an ex-local). So, as I was having a dinner with all the family (we aren't all together that often), I arranged to meet them around 11pm at their hotel.
As soon as I arrived (and despite a little delay thanks to Naoko ;) ), we headed to Notre Dame in order to initialise our promenade that should bring us to the feet of the Eiffel Tower with a surprise I kept secretly for them. So, we discovered (at least, they) Paris by night with the charmful street of the center of Paris... As we were walking, the Eiffel Tower was appearing. Little by little. First, we only saw its lasers, then, its top and a bit more, and even more. Until we passed a building and arrived at its feet. A set of pictures after, we went just under, right on time for the surprise.
At 2AM, all the lights shut down and the illumination could start. The show lasted for a short while but enough to spark off enthusiam all around, and especially in the eyes of my two guests.
Once the show was over, we could come back to their hotel for, maybe, 10 minutes before Ayako asked for some more. No problem, one more promenade in the warm and silent night of Paris couldn't be a problem. So, this time, we headed to the Hotel de Ville where we stayed until 5am... Beautiful and so nice. A bit different from the awakening... ... two hours after...
