If sport is part of the resolution for 2007, going back to rugby practice is the first step. The next step will be to subscribe to the local gym and try hitting it once a week (in more of the regular rugby and squash)... So, as I used to do, after a difficult awaking, I went to ‘åX‰w for 9AM in order to meet ‹³Žö and reach ¬Šâ.
A lot of players came for this first practice. Even the sun was part of it. And I don't talk about the 4 girls that came with ”~ to see how a rugby training looks like. I recognized one of them as she came to the end of season dinner (she is a colleague of ²”Œ). Two new players were also part of the bunch. Everything to spend a nice time. But things quickly changed... The "raclette" at Philippe and Virginie's place the day before (ended by a Galette des rois and a bottle of cidre) was definitely a handicap for all the exercises/games we did. More than once, I had to slow down and have some rest...
Apart from this extra pounds taken on Saturday and lost and Sunday (a kind of dream for many girls when summer comes...), no problem to notice: my back is OK, although the ankle is still not at 100% (but the spikes I have been offered on December are really great, so light...). Only a few missed tackles and some nice contacts. I'm looking forward to hit the gym to increase the mass and give hard times to the wingers in front of me this year!! Meanwhile, I'll take a nap, since I hardly move any part of my painful body...
