For this last dinner of 2004, the French chefs we are sometimes have decided to make a huge dinner. Like we did last year, in fact. So, we spent hours (4 on thursday) in supermarkets finding all the local products which would complete ours (imported from France in our luggages) and almost all the Friday in our kitchens preparing the most we can (in order to relax during dinners).
So, we were 10 at Clement's new flat: Clement (of course), Cedric and Camilla, Francois (directly arrived from France to put his feet under the table...), David and I. In more, this year, we took care of some lonely Swedish girls from the rugby club with no plans for New Year's Eve: Amanda, Johanna, Nina and Birgitta...
So, the dinner ended around 2AM when everybody was more than stuffed and half-sleeping... A good New Year's Eve in fact, despite the tragdy happened in Thailand and which found a big echo here, due to the 2,000 missing Swedish guys. A reason why the traditional fireworks were cancelled throughout the country. But how illuminating the sky while families are just missing someone precious?
