Once again I would like to thank all players for taking part in Saturday's match against Ronneby.
The first 10 minutes of the first half went well for Lugi who had good possesion and could get the ball out to the backs whose handling skills were superb all day, but unfortunately territory could not be turned into points and instead Ronneby's older and stronger 3rd row managed to score tries by breaking through the middle and some missed tackles by Lugi. The second half saw a change of picture as the tired Ronneby sides' legs could not catch Lugi young backs who scored 5 tries in a short period of Lugi domination. Most tries came on the Left wing with the still very young combination of David Lönsjö, Philip Said and Alex Persson (getting his first try ever after 6 months of playing rugby) combing to produce most of the tries. Unfortunately Lugi could not make up the deficit in the time remaining and the score reflected a good match on a very warm May day in Ronneby.
Thanks also to Ronneby for the well-deserved BBQ hot dogs after the match. Good sportsmanship was shown from Ronneby who played 13 against our 12 players.
