As promised to Yukichan, we all (Camilla, Yukichan, Cédric, Benoit, David and I) went to Skanör for a good seafood restaurant... We didn't try our luck finding a restaurant. Actually, we went to one I had already experienced twice (and left more than happy): Skanöors fiskrögeriet next to the beach.
Really nice. Nothing else to say, anyway. Or maybe just my recommendations (which quickly turned into ours): the seafood basket and for dessert, the famous French "crême b... [Read]
Today is the 14th of July and that's the National Day in France. The second ever I haven't spent in France. I can't say I am missing the President's speech or the fighters flying upon my parents'house to reach their airfields. It is just that it, maybe, this "14 Juillet" is a bit particular since French people is just drowning under gloominess (Paris 2012, bombs in London) and a political crisis (European referendum, economy)... So, if I feel lucky not to be there and have such feelings, I also ... [Read]
A few days before his leaving to Barcelona, Ola held a kind of Farewell party. So, he invited us as well as some of his Swedish friends (that we already met or not) to his flat for a tapas dinner. A very good meal (it is amusing to see that all of us here are really chefs) ended, inevitably by a wonderful home-made ice cream... So succulent: from the paella to the ice cream, through the gazpacho or the sangria, everything was a success... As all good party, we went to the KB not too far from the... [Read]
So, here we are, we have lost again... I think everybody in France is wondering (and I think for many of the coming days) how it happened... But it is true that it is a bit strange, indeed. Regarding to all the things which have been said (either in France or abroad, like here in Sweden or in UK, through BBC World), it seems that Paris had the best project of all... But finally; when it comes to the vote, London has always been first (except once, when Madrid was the first)...
It's hard not to ... [Read]
As we did last year (we even bought our places as soon as they were available), we went to the Big One this year. No big groups like the last year (Franz Ferdinand or The Hives) except Sonic Youth, we all already saw at Roskilde (or Belfort for the Eurockéennes where David was) almost a week before. Whatever! It is always good to be outside sipping a couple of beers and listening to good music. Moreover, Clément's new flat (he moved again after 6 months: that seems to be recurrent ... [Read]
So, we are finally back from Roskilde even we left as late as we could... I arrived home this morning at 5AM after having given the last drops or energy on the Tokyo Ska Paradise orchestra's concert. Fortunately it was worth it (who ever doubted that?) and even if the day is quite sleeping today I am really happy to have spent 4 days in Denmark enjoying myself with the others. I even found Amanda and Nicklas from the Lugi klubb there!
Some of the best memories:
