Explanations :

Jointly with the essay on X Japan (also available on this website), this document is mandatory to sit the 'Cultural Studies' part of the Certificate in Japanese and Japanese Studies. As I already explained, this part is a matter of producing two essays on any aspect of Japan, whatever the concerned topic. So, because Japan and sake are close in every gaijin's mind, I decided to explain briefly how it was produced as well as X represented a part of a typical Japanese music style.
Those choices seemed to be judicious because I got the maximal mark for that part. For any of you who could be interested in using this document, just keep in mind that all the electronic versions of essays are archived in Cambridge to avoid any fraud.
