The story of the band ends on September, 22^nd 1997 with the official disbandment, after more than a decade under the spotlights... They decide to give a final concert on New Year's Eve 1997. A concert which still remains in memories... Nevertheless, the band will be under the spotlights once again, but for a sadder reason�: on September 1998, the guitar player, Hide, is found hung at his home... The police investigation established it was a suicide... The band was so strong for their fans that, the day of Hide's funerals, in�Tokyo, there were more than five kilometres of persons who tried to visit their idol for the last time... Nevertheless, the temple was closed because some of the fans decided to cut their wrists on the tomb... Also, during the days which followed the announcement, some of his fans decided to commit suicide like him�: Japan seemed to be in crisis...
