X Japan

Explanations :

This document is one of the two which are needed for the 'Cultural Studies' part of the Certificate in Japanese and Japanese Studies I have passed in June Juin 2001. The aim of this part is the examinee to produce two essays on any aspect of Japan, whatever the concerned topic. So, I have chosen X Japan as an example of the Visual Kei which reflects a part of the Japanese music, as well as the one about sake (indissociable from Japan).
Those choices seemed to be judicious because I got the maximal mark for that part. For any of you who could be interested in using this document, just keep in mind that all the electronic versions of essays are archived in Cambridge to avoid any fraud.
